Shiyaz has been working in this field for more than 18 years. He is currently employed in Television Maldives, the only TV channel in Maldives since 1978. He joined TVM in 1989 as a cameraman and is currently working as a senior cameraman in this government TV station.
He got his trainings at multi award winning broadcasting company Bona Broadcasting Company, UK. He also has worked for Norwegian Broadcasting Corp. Ltd and also the National Geographic channel, as a cameraman.
Alongside his international experiences, lie many other works as a cameraman, director, and a director of photography.
He has done a numbers of Films, Dramas, Video Songs, Documentaries, Short Films, and Advertisements during his 18 years long glamorous career. He has worked for international agencies in filming documentaries and Advertisements.
He is proud to introduce a few stars in the Entertainment industry of Maldives, who are currently holding the leading light. One of them has also won the national award for entertainment works.
He has trained the STAR TEAM (video journalists) of Television Maldives who is currently working in the Atoll Bureaus of TVM in bringing news stories and videos.
He has also been involved in training another STAR TEAM (video journalists) at the end of 2006 through the beginning of 2007. Through all these years, he found a great happiness in sharing his knowledge and understanding to others. And above all, he looks forward to a national award for this medium. |
